LIFE AFTER ALL...FINALLY!

It has arrived. You can read more about it and order it online here. If you are shopping here, you can buy it in person. It will soon be available in a variety of regional book and music stores.

If you know the artists, you can purchase the disc direct. This is the recommended method, since it allows them to look you in the eyes and work their sorcery on you, seducing you into buying multiple copies for family, friends, and co-workers. It's painless, and relatively inexpensive. Of course, if you experience an erection for more than four hours you should consult your physician.

Live performances and CD release party information will be forthcoming. There are plans to assemble the entire cast from the album for at least one live show. Watch for it. Sign up for the mailing list at mincksmiller[at]sbcglobal.net.

Listening samples won't be available on the MayApple site until next week. But you can hear four songs in their entirety here.

Happy New Year.

One of my co-workers wanted to know if the album comes in vinyl as well as on cd.

I consider it an honor to report that I got my very own copy when I was up visiting for Christmas, right out of the back of Reacher's car.

Which of course means that I win.

It was one of the veriest firstest albums to be loaded into the shiny new mp3 player the wife and I bought ourselves for Christmas, Reacher, and I've really been enjoying it. Excellent work all around, seriously. You guys have a good sound and some very good songs.

In short, it doesn't suck, so we can still be friends and stuff.

The mediocre internet bandwidth in our kitchen last night might have made the myspace versions of the songs a bit halting, but it didn't stop me from singin along at the top of my lungs.

I think I kept riffin on _Shaken not Broken_ after y'all stopped for fifteen minutes as I unloaded the dishwasher. Addison came downstairs and asked me for a reprieve finally. He was having trouble playing over all the singing. Even upstairs.

I'm looking forward to hearing the album in its entirety.

I can't say that my family is looking forward to it with the same vigor...

I got one in my Christmas stocking. Santa Reacher must have put it there since I'm past the age of believing in the real Santa. (Surely you didn't get yours before I did, 'tool, that would just be wrong on so many levels)! So for Christmas, I got me some vinatge Ray Charles and some Mincks and Miller. Who could ask for more?
Great music. Excellent lyrics. Love the art. I'm just all a-bursting with pride. Way to go guys!
Make sure I get an invite for the kick-off party or release party or whatever you music moguls call it.

I am trying hard not to covet the copies you all have. I shall rightfully purchase my very own in time.

Yeah, in fact, there was a report of a small community of M&M fans meeting together in an upper room for meditation and jamming, only to be touched by tongues of fire and spilling into the streets speaking in unknown musical languages.

Weird deal, amen? Amen.

Yeah, I saw that.

But he wasn't fired.

Rabid groups with political axes to grind always erupt in cheers and applause when controversial professors willingly choose to retire.

Jody Bilyeu said...

Dear lord. The president insists the professor wasn't driven out, but is happy to take credit for driving him out:

Gary Barkley, member of Pisgah Baptist Church, Excelsior Springs and committee chairman, told the Executive Board he was satisfied [University President] Taylor had taken all appropriate measures to stop the teaching of evolution.

“Dr. Taylor has shown us the documents,” he said.

Some members of the board wanted more detailed assurance that the issue had been “resolved,” but Barkley and Taylor held their positions that legally, they could say very little.

Which is it? "appropriate measures" were taken, or he accepted a retirement offer? Isn't there something in the bible about not lying?

"Legally, they could say very little." These are the people running the denomination.

Yeah, you're right Jody, there are one or two references to lying in the Bible. Like this one found in Proverbs..."lying lips are an abomination to the Lord."

Do you think it means all lying lips? Or only the ones that aren't lying to us for OUR OWN GOOD?

Well. But the CD is really good, despite the keyboard playing, which gives me perspective on other things. In the final analysis, it all is only life, after all.

What bothers me is this whole name - Mincks and Miller.

It's misspelled way too easily.

I mean - Minx and Miller; Minks and Miller. Mynx and Myllher; I could go on.

What could be simpler than Brother Wiley.

Just change the name for the next cd.

Brother Wiley - bringing a message of grace.

Oops. I had a type.

I meant, What could be simpler than Brother Wiley?

Although, maybe the period was better.

What could be simpler than Brother Wiley.

Maybe I'll start a petition drive.
