I think you should change the title to "1,000,000 in Springfield..."

C'mon, Reach. Even the local fish wrap was only throwing around figures like "over 30,000". And you're right, we do hear what we want to hear. And it would seem that you hear only happy thoughts about lotsa good stuff coming from the most inexperienced, unqualified presidential candidate from a major party of my lifetime. Which, by definition, would be your lifetime also, whippersnapper.

Yeah, I'm not sure anyone counted every head. I'm going by the number I read. Cut it in half, and it still doubles (probably quadruples) the crowd drawn to the Palin event in the same city. That's gotta hurt in Redtown, MO.

Sure is gonna be sad for you when the most inexperienced, unqualified candidate in your lifetime kicks the most experienced, and yet still unqualified, candidate's ass. Especially after receiving unprecedented endorsements from conservative politicians, conservative intellectuals, conservative journalists, conservative newspapers...

Remind me again which liberals are endorsing McCain?

Where is there left to stand but on fear, distortion, and, um, fear?

What is the video that you linked to? Is it controverial. When I clicked on it, I got a message that said "Not available in your country."

It's a YouTube video of a 1969 performance of the song, "Eli's Coming," by Three Dog Night. The song suggests impending doom. I was inspired by its use in the short-lived TV series "Sports Night," by Aaron Sorkin.

Easy to see why you were never a math major.

I don't suppose there's any need to remind you that Sarah Palin's visit was in the middle of a work day, rather than a Saturday night...

As for me and my house, we will stand on common sense. Which means we don't vote for a guy who's done nothing in his life except prepare to run for office, run for office, and then once in office begin preparing to run for a higher office.

By the way, given any thought about changing the blog name to "the nostradamus dude"? It's got a nice ring, I think you can dance to it.

Which part of it's common sense? The only completely solid support McCain has is coming further and further from the fringe of the party.

Argument from authority is pretty common sense. I don't know something, I turn to those who do. How does it make sense to support the candidate who has received significantly less support from the authorities in nearly every topic area.

It seems more and more irrational every day.

Oh, and I DID think about "Nostradamus Dude," but I already know that it wouldn't work out for me.
